Tomorrow might be too late

Today I will discuss the fact that tomorrow may be too late, meaning that tomorrow is not promised to anyone. I moved back to Brazil about one year ago and reconnected with family that I had not seen in 20 years. One of them was my father's eldest sister. She was a mother figure to him, because she was the one who mainly took care of him when they were young. She was the happiest person I met and did not care how her life affected others; she just followed her heart and did what made her happy. Well this morning I woke up to the news that she passed. I had no idea or inclination to believe that today what be her day to be called home.

I feel bad because I did not tell her how much I loved her and that she was very special to me. I just believed that I would be visiting her soon and eating her cooking. Now that will never happen and the opportunity is gone. We all should never leave for tomorrow what we can do today. If you love someone let him or her know, because you may never have that chance. Reflect on how you treat the people you love. Do you think they know exactly how you feel? Have your actions been a direct representation of your thoughts and feelings. We sometimes let our pride take place and we also hold grudges, but that is not a good way to live.

Remember that love is a word that is very easy to say. The hard part is to act and show the feelings. We have to try to make our feelings evident. If you believe that you have done all you can and that if they were to leave today, you would have no regrets or remorse than great. On the opposite side if you feel like there is a lack in this area just work harder and make it happen. Today may be the last chance you have!
