The Good Old Days

Ha! I am having a throwback feeling today. I want to address people who say the world is becoming a terrible place. First they claim kids now are worse than ever and you know what I highly disagree. I believe that kids have access to a lot more stuff, but that does not mean we as parents lost the ability to tell them no. I have ran into some very disrespectful kids and then you look at the parent, and all the do is shrug their shoulders. That makes me want to beat the parent, because they are raising little monsters and think that is not a problem. On the flip side, I have seen some very smart, highly well mannered, and well versed kids. These kids have been raised correctly. Now before people say it the parents age based on my observations is not a factor. I have seen great kids raised by teen parents and bad ones, but I have also seen the same thing with kids that are raised by older parents.

Another thing, people always say well technology is bad and it is becoming to advanced. I see this two ways, yes technology advances everyday and for work purposes we have to learn and stay up on new things, but in your home it is not a necessity. Granted you may be the only house on the block without internet or a computer, but you can do it. What I recommend to people is set time limits, use the blocks that are there. Do not forget the ultimate thing in this life, we may not be able to control everything that happens outside of our home, but in our home we are still in control. This is not a post only for parents.

If you are a single woman/man remember that dating can also be done the old fashioned way. You do not have to conform to what society says is the correct way to do things. There are people whom will look at you different, but you will find someone out there that still believes in the things our parents/grandparents believed in. The reason I am writing this post is that I see so many people complain about how good things used to be and how simple things were back then, but none of these people are taking the necessary steps to still live that way or even hold on to some of those values. Basically the message today is we do not have to conform to society and we can still hold on to our old school values....the question is how bad do we really want it and how willing are we to work at it.

Have a great weekend and I will be back on Monday (God willing), love you all and thanks for taking time out of your day to read my posts and visit breezysays.com!

I feel the way times are going being rooted is very important, because if you conform to the ways of the world.....then there will be possibilites of you falling for anything. I'm oldschool when it comes to relationships, but I love to have fun and be 1 on 1 with my woman and show her that she's important. My dad is very oldschool and he still uses words like "jive turkey" and "what's hap'nen" lol. But it's all good.
