Payback???

Hmmmmm when you see that word does it automatically give you a bad taste in your mouth, or do you think "man somebody about to get it?" Well I do and that is one of the reasons why I never thought about getting payback on people. I have been hurt, lied to, cheated on, and all the other nonsense other people may bring a person. The thing about me is, I never tried getting back at them. I always work through the pain and trust me that does not mean I do not let it sting. That does mean I find something else to concentrate on. The funny thing is, when I do start working on a new project, the majority of the time those people that hurt me realize it made me better.

Not that they particularly made me better, but the fact that I learned from the actions I committed with them. If it is a friendship and they took my kindness for a weakness, that does not mean I start suspecting everyone else of doing the same thing...but it does mean I lookout for the same behavior pattern. A mistake that results in a lesson learned, may just be worht making the mistake. What we need to do is stop thinking payback and think pay it forward. Make sure the actions you present to others is the one you want presented to me. I probably have some nasty stuff coming my way, but I know there are some great things as well. Hopefully, I am now on the track of paying it forward and I hope you will join me.
